hany tea (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist and independent researcher whose work moves through the layered terrains of diaspora, memory, and sound. Her commitment to these themes also extends into her previous work on climate-related migration and disaster displacement. As a sonic practitioner, hany tea creates performances that blend the đàn bầu, extended techniques, electronics, field recordings, and human multivocalities. These works weave together sound and story – treating oral history not as a static archive, but as a living, shifting method of remembrance and interpretation. hany tea lives and works in Berlin.
