Gülsün Karamustafa (1946, Ankara) is an artist who explores themes of migration, memory, identity, and gender through painting, installation, and video. Karamustafa graduated from the Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy in 1969. Recent exhibitions/projects include Hollow and Broken: A State of the World, La Loge, Brussels, 2025; After the Cosmopolis, Lunds konsthall, 2021; and Parallel Lives, Parallel Aesthetics: León Ferrari & Gülsün Karamustafa, Eindhoven, 2021. Karamustafa lives and works in Istanbul.
