Francisca García is a writer and curator. She researches artistic archives of the Chilean diaspora and the intermediality practices in Latin American contemporary art. She is also working as an associate professor at UMCE Chile. She collaborates with different groups and networks in Berlin and Valparaiso, Chile. In 2017 she was awarded a PhD at the University of Potsdam. Recent works include the exhibition Raúl Ruiz: The Eye that Lies, Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende, Santiago, 2023 and the publication The Expansion of Academia: Practices, Processes and Problems in Artistic Research (co-edited, 2020). Garcia lives and works in Santiago de Chile.
