Évelyne Trouillot

Évelyne Trouillot is a writer whose work questions society and attempts to create meaning by pushing her writing to the limit. To achieve this, she sometimes uses history to break the silence surrounding marginalized social groups and women. She also explores crucial issues such as immigration, social inequalities and their impact on human relationships. She is a retired professor of French at the Université d'Etat d'Haïti and now works as a translator and continues to write poems, novels, short stories, plays and essays. She also runs writing workshops with young people in Haiti and elsewhere. Trouillot lives and works in Delmas, Haiti.
