Elisa Calzolari has been on the management board of the state association of migrant organisations in Thuringia, MigraNetz Thüringen, since 2020. She also volunteers on the board of thadine, the Thuringian anti-discrimination network, and is a co-founder and board member of MigraFem Power & Voices, a migrant organisation promoting the political participation of women with migration backgrounds. Since 2024, she has been a city councillor in Jena for the Die Linke party. She previously studied political science in Jena, Brussels and Salvador da Bahia. Calzolari lives and works in Jena.
