David Olusoga is a historian, author, film-maker and presenter. He produced and presented series such as Union With David Olusoga (2023), and Black & British: A Forgotten History (2016). Olusoga is the founder of Hillgate Films, a factual production label, and has produced and developed numerous television projects. Outside of television, he is Professor of Public History at The University of Manchester and the author of several award-winning books, including Black & British A Short Essential History (2020). He is a recipient of the BAFTA Special Award, the British Academy's Presidents Medal and the Medlicott Medal for Service to History.
