Chao Tayiana Maina
Chao Tayiana Maina is an award-winning historian and digital heritage specialist. She operates at the intersection of digital humanities and public education and has a background in computer science and a specialization in digital heritage studies. She is the founder of African Digital Heritage, co-founder of the Museum of British Colonialism, and co-founder of the Open Restitution Africa project. Her contributions to the field have been recognized globally. Recent publications include the article Where is the Seeker who Searches for Another? (2024) in the journal International Public History. Maina lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya.
