Carolina Cifras is a researcher, choreographer, performer, and educator whose practice spans more than three decades across contemporary dance, theatre, and the performing arts. Her work explores how bodies are shaped by economic, political, and social conditions, with a current focus on necropolitics and the relations between power, violence, and embodiment. She studied Arts and Dance Education at ARCIS University, Santiago, and continued her training at the Centre National de la Danse, Paris. She was a member of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Nantes. Recent works include Conversaciones con lo invisible, 2024; and Peso Muerto, 2019. Cifras lives and works in Chile.
