Callaz

Callaz (also known as Maria Soromenho) is a voice artist. With a background in design and fashion, her live acts dance against the toxic shallows of stardom. Her music redirects collective fantasies towards pleasure as empowerment. She has taken the stage in as many cities as the ones that are part of her affective geography and the history of each of her works. Her live acts feature incisive refrains in the dancing darkness she has got us used to. She is currently working on a desire-centric music theory for performance, called Living in a Labyrinth and a new, third LP, titled Faço, Desfaço, Refaço. Callaz doesn't really know where she lives but works all the time.
