Betânia Ramos Schröder
Betânia Ramos Schröder is an Afro-Brazilian writer, sociologist, and activist. Her bilingual work (Portuguese/German) revolves around migration, exile and memory, and deals with traces of colonialism. Influenced by her experiences in psychiatry, she seeks new paths to healing beyond clinical spaces through poetry. Her texts move between water, body and voice – between resistance and tenderness. She has published in TEXTOR.Online, Carta Capital and iz3w. Her first book, Escritas em Travessia, will be published in 2026. Ramos Schröder lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.
