Alvaro Llerena is a traditional master drummer, singer, and composer also known as The Bewitched Drummer. He was the main drummer for his mother and renowned Bullerengue singer, Petrona Martínez, for many years. He has been awarded best drummer and singer at the Son de Negro Festival in Santa Lucía, Colombia, and was the drummer in six of Petrona Martínez’s albums. Llerena lives and works in Madrid.
