Simon Njami (1962, Lausanne, Switzerland) is a curator, lecturer, art critic, and novelist. He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of Revue Noire, a journal of contemporary African and extra-occidental art. Njami was a member of the scientific boards of numerous museums and institutions and a Visiting Professor at the University of San Diego, California. He curated numerous exhibitions, including: A Collective Diary, B7L9—Art Station, Tunis, 2022; and Africa Remix, Johannesburg Art Gallery, 2007. He published and edited biographies on James Baldwin and Sédar Senghor. Njami lives and works in Paris.
