The Amazon region is home to the majority of the world’s isolated indigenous peoples. Along the tenth southern parallel, frontiersman José Carlos Meirelles draws a demarcation line for the Ethno-Environmental Protection Front of the Envira River. For twenty-one days, director Silvio Da-Rin’s film accompanies him on his upriver journey to identify deserted camps and try to mediate in conflicts between groups living along the river.
