This documentary follows the revolutionary band "Os Novos Baianos", which, strongly influenced by João Gilberto, redefined Brazilian pop music in the 1970s. Director Henrique Dantas tells the story of the band from their beginnings in Bahia to the zenith of their popularity, using archive footage, some of it never published before. The result is a passionate portrait of the Brazilian music scene of the time.

Henrique Dantas (*1972 in Salvador da Bahia) studied visual arts at the Universidade Federal da Bahia. His works run the gamut of audio-visual media. In addition to successful shorts and feature films, he has also made numerous video clips and video art films.
