When Barack Obama visits Berlin on Thursday, 24 July 2008, a number of roads will be closed to traffic. Consequently, you will be able to access the House of World Cultures in the following ways only: from Hauptbahnhof, or by taking the M85 bus, or by car along Willy-Brandt-Straße or the Bettina-von-Arnim-Ufer.

Last Year, the Einstürzenden Neubauten celebrated a much-acclaimed come-back with their album Alles wieder offen. In the meantime, however, guitarist Jochen Arbeit is into very different things. Together with bassist Yoyo Röhm (from Ben Becker’s Zero Tolerance Band), he has now turned to his passion for Tiki culture. They will be appearing at WATER MUSIC with their Latin Lovers project, playing titles such as ‘Backyard Polynesia’ and ‘Primitive Art Civil’ and a programme devoted to the great masters of the genre, above all, Esquivel and Les Baxter.
