xurban_collective (Turkey/USA)

It is a well-known fact that the Pergamon Acropolis is in the Pergamon Museum, Berlin. In the region itself, however, gold mines have recently been opened up. xurban_collective opposes this multiple usurpation of space with a modest project that feeds on the ‘grass roots’ of Anatolian flora and fauna. xurban_collective has members in Istanbul, Izmir, Linz and New York. The collective observes the interpenetration of globalisation, power and commerce.
