In-organic is a battle between the sexes fought out with irony: with a 25-metre-long pearl necklace, a stuffed bull’s head with excessively large horns – and with stills: ‘That’s how it is, he likes it, she likes it, yeah.’ Marcela Levi, who was once a formative member of the company of Brazilian choreographer Lia Rodriguez, transcends the boundary between performing and visual arts. Her performances, which she calls ‘choreographic investigations and experiments’, are resolved in stills of enormous suggestive power.
