Night in Kuala Lumpur: A worker from Bangladesh, a Malaysian waitress in a tea house, her female boss – nobody wants to be alone any more. Homeless Hsiao Kang is caught in the middle of this triangle of crime, longing and desire amidst the smog of the city Moloch. According to the New York Times, the film succeeds majestically without dialogue or any other disturbances.

Tsai Ming-Liang (*1957 in Malaysia) lives in Taipeh. In 2006, his film won the 'CinemAvvenire' award in Venice.
