Bollywood melodies on Greek bouzoukis! While appreciation for Indian cinema came late to Germany, it has enthralled audiences in other countries, such as Greece, since the 1950's. Many of the songs in Greece’s pop canon are actually cover versions of popular Hindi film songs.
Raj, a pick-pocket from Mumbai, is accused of the attempted murder of judge Raghu. The story so far: The young Raghu disowns his pregnant wife because he is convinced that he is not the father of the child, consigning the wife and child to a life of extreme poverty. The son becomes a criminal, and over the course of the next 20 years the father and son’s paths cross several times – ending in court.
