The Anthropocene Observatory, Kola Superdeep Borehole documentation at the Murmansk Regional Museum, (c) Armin Linke 2012

Remote sensing satellites, the world’s deepest borehole and giant geoscientific repositories: the forensic surveying of the planet has assumed unprecedented scales.

Episode #3, in the framework of the exhibition forensis, expands the archive. It will map the shift from the utopian-inclined research organizations of the Cold War to the contemporary investigation of global change, and will trace the development from the reliance on material evidence to the use of algorithmic models.

A project by Armin Linke, Territorial Agency (John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rönnskog), and Anselm Franke
