Mai Yamashita and Naoto Kobayashi, Infinity

Mai Yamashita and Naoto Kobayashi: InfinityThe Japanese artist duet create a symbol of infinity in the garden in front of the exhibition RE-IMAGINING ASIA. ‘Playing with time’ is the main theme of the duet, whose work has already been shown at the Tate Modern, in London, and at the Biennale in Istanbul. For eight days, the artist duet will be trampling the symbol of infinity (figure eight lying outstretched), in the grass until its trace is visible in the ground well after grass has grown over it again. Little by little, we become aware of the enduring impression that daily rituals can make on us.

In co-operation with Katerina Valdivia Bruch.
