How does learning inside “concrete blocks” affect the students? Do they become “cement heads” or, quite the opposite, particularly creative? Do the clean structures help them order their thoughts? In a film project with Evgeny Khlebnikov, the 11th grade students at Johann-Gottfried-Herder Gymnasium combined animated elements with images of the school. They developed characters who attempt to reveal the limits and possibilities of typical 1970s architecture.
The animated film will be part of the audio walk through Lichtenberg starting in June.
