Zineb Majdouli

Zineb Majdouli is Associate Professor in communication sciences at the Université Catholique de Lille. Trained in anthropology of communication, her doctoral research explored the trajectories of Gnawa musicians and the circulation of world music between local ritual contexts and transnational cultural markets. Drawing on ethnographic approaches, her current work examines digital musical practices through the lenses of digital anthropology and symbolic interactionism.
