Thaís Omine
Thaís Omine is a filmmaker and visual anthropologist. Working across film, research, curation, and dialogue-based formats, she explores migration, diaspora, silence, trauma, and unspoken memory. She holds an M.A. in Visual and Media Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin, where her research focused on Okinawan-Brazilian women’s narratives and the embodied traces of colonialism and assimilation. Her practice attends closely to gaps, fragments, and what resists articulation.
