Mathieu Vadepied is a cinematographer, director and screenwriter with a degree in photography. In 2002, Vadepied received a César nomination in the Best Cinematography category for the thriller Read My Lips (2001). This was followed by his work as cinematographer on the blockbuster hit The Intouchables (2011), for which he was also nominated for a César. He then made his first feature film, Learn by Heart, which screened as the closing film of the Semaine de la Critique at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Father & Soldier (2022) is his second feature-length film. Vadepied lives and works in Paris.
