Félix Ayoh’OMIDIRE is Professor and Chair of Brazilian and Afro-Latin-American Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Over the years, he has worked as an intergovernmental consultant and resource person for various agencies in Brazil, Nigeria, and the Republic of Benin. He has been a multiple-time awardee of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst. Omidire also works as a translator and interpreter, operating between Yorùbá, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian. He has authored and edited 19 books, as well as over 100 scientific journal articles and book chapters in the areas of languages, literatures, and Yoruba identity.
