Dinçer Güçyeter
Dinçer Güçyeter is a theatre director, poet, editor and publisher. In 2012, he founded ELIF Verlag, a publishing house specialising in poetry, which he financed for many years by working part-time as a forklift driver. His poetry collections Mein Prinz, ich bin das Ghetto (2021) and Aus Glut geschnitzt (2017) were followed by the novel Unser Deutschlandmärchen, which won the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2023. The book is being translated into several languages and adapted for the stage; the production at the Maxim Gorki Theatre was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2025. He has also received the Else Lasker-Schüler Prize and the Peter Huchel Prize. Güçyeter lives in Nettetal.
