Z 32

Regie by Avi Mograbi, F/IL 2008, 81 min, Hebrew original with English subtitles

An Israeli soldier recounts his war crimes. Followed by a discussion between Cristina Nord and Avi Mograbi on the Middle East conflict and the attempt to approach it through film.

Avi Mograbi is an Israeli filmmaker and video artist. He is considered Israel’s most important documentary filmmaker and a committed eyewitness of the Middle East conflict. As an experimentalist, he poses painful and unsolved questions about responsibility, forgiveness and the nature of cinematic truth.
