Since the breakup of his influential techno-duo Closer Music, Matias Aguayo has established himself as a restless intermediary between the Kompakt cosmos of Cologne and his Chilean roots. His label Cómeme, the result of an extended South American tour with his nomadic BumBumBox parties, provides the international DJ scene with Latin American techno and house idioms. His own recordings feature minimalistic beat structures, which Aguayo complements with his own percussion handiwork during his DJ sets and live shows, and his voice, which has earned him the appreciation of colleagues like Battles and Vampire Weekend. His performance with the Chilean noise-duo Mostro is a European premiere, and coincides with the release of his third album, The Visitor, on which the perpetually traveling long-stay guest himself is visited by Deadbeat (Produktion), Juliana Gattas (Miranda!), and Aérea Negrot (Hercules & Love Affair), among others.
