This road movie accompanies him to Brazil’s north-east – desperately poor, riddled with superstition and machismo. He goes in search of a male identity that does not deny his past. In his transformation from a girl called Núcia to a man he had to put up with his parents’ rejection. Now, he wants a baby with his girlfriend – and he does not want to lose his daughter from his “previous life”. A vibrant reflection on the suffering and pleasure of otherness.
