Germany 2004, 91 min., German OV
Ibo, a creative but chaotic young man from Hamburg and an avid Bruce Lee fan, is hell-bent on shooting the first German Kung-Fu film. Thanks to a racy advertizing film he shot for his uncle’s kebab shop, he is the star of the neighborhood, but he can’t fund a producer to help realize his dream. Thingsa are going well in his private life, either: Ibo’s pregnant girlfriend leaves him, and his father throws him out because he doesn’t want a German woman to be the mother of his nephew. Soon, only Bruce Lee can help. A charmingly scurrilous comedy about the clash of cultures.
