Crisis as an opportunity! Man-made climate change has given us a new perspective on our local ways of life and our understanding of global politics. Can a new “art of living” secure our survival? How can we bring about a cultural change in our habits and behavioral patterns? For 101 hours (17 to 21 August 2011), visitors to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt test a new sustainable “art of living”: by cooking and eating differently, by working and producing, hanging around and sleeping, discussing and thinking, learning and using, dancing, listening to music and watching movies.
