The myth of the West reigned for a long time in Eastern Europe. But since the fall of the Berlin wall, the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo and the EU's eastward expansion, the picture has changed: political and economic influences, military actions as well as artistic and cultural dialogue have allowed a new, demystified image of the West to form.
