In the Sinti and Romani community where Jaime grows up, every member is equal whether man, woman or child. But their life is torn apart when they receive official notice of their upcoming eviction from the warehouse where they have resided for years which means that they will be uprooted once again. Jaime soon realizes that his love of language and literature can help him to shelter his people's memories within narratives.
