The economic crisis affects the whole of Europe, but while we are certainly in the picture about its effects in the west, we often lose sight of Eastern Europe. How are the people there dealing with the economic situation? How is the crisis affecting everyday life? Where are there chances to bolster the economy and encourage development? The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) is actively pursuing these questions in various countries.
