A sombre and dark story investigating the murder of a young immigrant Filipino, Hanzel, found dead on the sidewalk of West Side Avenue, New Jersey. Detective Juan Mijarez takes on the investigation, which re-awakens dark memories of his past life as a governmental agent sent to kill student activists in Manila. The film also provides an insight into the lives of America’s Filipino community.
