In June 2009, the performers Daniel Aschwanden and Peter Stamer followed two Chinese banknotes as they traveled through China's provinces, and they accompanied the people who spent them. The journey took them a distance of 4000 kilometers, where along the way they witnessed the everyday lives, hopes and fears of over 40 people. In their performative installation, the fictional and documentary, anecdotes, images and (cultural) projections all intersect.

Performed and directed by Daniel Aschwanden & Peter Stamer; Set Design: Andreas Harder; Mentoring Dramaturgy: Silke Bake; Consulting Funding: Stephanie Leonhardt
