Shiva Dances with the Art Institute of Chicago (2004, 105 min)
Leitmotif of the film is a lecture in 2003, which spontaneously erupted into a group performance: in the dance of Shiva, the destroyer of illusion according to Hindu cosmology, the totality of time and space is present, every vibration of the universe and the silence beyond all existence. Adrian Piper refers to this when she speaks about the possibilities of dance, one’s own ego and overcoming the limits of the mind. The conceptual artist Adrian Piper will also present her sculpture "Everything # 5.2" at IN TRANSIT 09.
