Actors find themselves in the lonely position of rebels. Dressed as children, they lock themselves in the Haus and direct their rage at the adults. They read proclamations, incessantly run back and forth, abuse each other. They are watched: the spectators around the box-like "stage" gaze through peep-holes and at large video screens showing the revolt. A continuous process of swelling and dwindlng violence, language, resistance. If nothing is happening indoors, the spectators become the object of observation. El Periférico de Objetos was founded 20 years ago as a puppet theater. It takes manipulation in the literal and figurative sense as the - philosophical, existential, political- center of their work. The technology has changed, but the puppet-like human activity remains central to their theatrical approach.
