19. Rencontres Internationales Paris / Berlin / Madrid

During 7 days, the Rencontres Internationales will create an unique space of discovery and reflection between new cinema and contemporary art – film, video and multimedia.

An international program will bring together more than 200 works from Germany, France, Spain and other 60 countries most of them being shown in Berlin for the first time and directed by very well-known artists on the international scene – amongst which are in particular the latest works by Emmanuelle Antille (CH), Thomas Köner (Germany), Vasco Araujo (Portugal), Lawrence Weiner (USA) – as well as by young artists and directors. In the presence of more than 100 artists from all over the world, the 19th Rencontres Internationales will also offer several rare carte blanches to Artavazd Pelechian, Chantal Akerman, Pedro Costa, Antoni Muntadas, some special screenings with the latest films by Philippe Grandrieux and Khalil Joreige & Joanna Hadjithomas, and a series of debates and panel discussions.
