Nero Inferno

Children from the Creative Cultural Center of Jenin on the West Bank tell a "grown-up story" about longing for the sea, which they aren’t able to see because checkpoints stand in the way, about life underground in a speechless invisibility that nevertheless has eyes. It is also a story about hope.

The Cultural Center was founded in 2005, after the Israeli army had destroyed the Palestinian refugee camp and parts of Jenin city. The European premiere of "Nero Inferno," under the direction of Gruppo Ponte Radio, is part of the Venice "Biennale Teatro.”
