taz Panter Prize 2008

There are many people who are courageous and say: ‘It’s possible to change things’. These people get involved in social and political activities, or at a purely human level, and do great things – usually furtively. The taz Panter Prize gives them and their work the attention they genuinely deserve.

For the fourth time, the taz is awarding two Panter Prizes – to the amount of 5,000 euro each – to the heroes of everyday life. One is being awarded by women taz readers and the other by a jury of prominent members: Klaus Bednarz, Anke Domscheit, Bascha Mika, Dieter Moor, Georg Schramm. The band Wir sind Helden will be playing.
