Nomad Sound System

Nomad Sound System is the club project of german guitar and oud player David Beck (e.g. Gnawa Impulse) and japanese electronic wizard DJ Tomoki. The project realizes a fusion of traditional percussion and arabic Oud with passionate dance grooves and ethnic samples coming from Laptop, Sampler & Groovebox.

Nomad Sound System combines the most danceable grooves from the laptop of DJ Tomoki (Japan) with the turntables of DJ Shazami, Karim Sfaxi’s Tunisian Rai singing, integrative guitar and bass lines by mastermind David Beck and traditional North African percussion by Miloud Messabih. With their trend-setting sound, this innovative production team dominate the intercultural club and live scene in Berlin. Their performances are never static: both the musicians and the machines can respond spontaneously to changes in the moods of their dance-mad audiences.
