Nanna Heidenreich studied media. She lives and works in Berlin, where she is project director of arsenal experimental: a platform for experimental films, video art and installations. Heidenreich has been a curator, organiser and advisor at film festivals for many years. Until 2006, she was involved in selecting entries for the Panorama section of the Berlinale; since 2007 she has been co-ordinator and assistant curator of Forum expanded. Her main fields of interest are visual culture, migration and theories of racism. Her artistic and theoretical activities include essays and contributions, film and video programmes, and participating in exhibitions. She gives talks and holds lectureships at the Berlin University of the Arts. She is a member of Kanak Attak (www.kanak-attak.de).
Serhat Karakayali is sociologist and co-curator of the exhibition and lives and works in Berlin.
