A story of longings: the bars of the 1930s and 1940s, and stories told by GIs returning home from the South Sea about the Tiki hype of the 1950s and 1960s, when musicals, novels and records were produced en masse, and Elvis the Pelvis rode the crest of the wave, to the present scene with its Easy Listening and Lounge Music.
