To be consistently different and to create a unique and unmistakable image is the objective of all brand communication. The role that design and typography plays in this will be explored at the TYPO Berlin 2008.

TYPO Berlin has established itself as the European event for communication designers. From Neville Brody to David Carson, Mario Garcia, David Linderman, Kurt Weidemann, Ken Garland, Erik Spiekermann, Jakob Trollbäck and Louis Rossetto: the list of TYPO Berlin speakers over the past eleven years reads like an international "Who is Who" of graphic design.

TYPO Berlin 2007 was attended by around 1,200 typographers, graphic designers and other design professionals from all over the world. Creative Review said: "A genuinely interesting conference", Süddeutsche Zeitung: "At the design conference TYPO Berlin, typographers and their typefaces are celebrated like pop stars." Page: "The conference theme was present throughout the whole event with remarkable consistency."
