In analysing the dynamics of performance art as one of the most radical propositions brought to the politics and poetics of live performance in the past half century, the question of performance art's planetary distribution as a derivation of the post-colonial era has often been a neglected topic in performance theory. This lecture proposes a political geology of performance art, and therefore a topography of its forces in the post-colonial condition.
