Contemporary music between Asia and Europe as audio-visual poetry. Here, Erika Matsunami, a Japanese video artist, encounters Antonis Anissegos, the pianist and composer from Greece. Matsunami made a name for himself at transmediale.07, among other things. Anissegos has performed some of his countless stage and orchestral works with the Ensemble Modern. The work of the duet, OIO, centres on translation, the transformation of traditions and modernities in their cultures. With their audio-visual concerts, they jointly develop a new, intercultural language.
