Improvisation takes place in a wide variety of contexts and at many levels: in clear-cut situations like a household and as part of grave international problems. Can improvisation be used to expand conventional forms of behavior? Or does improvisation lose its innocent character in a time when socio-political circumstances force people to be highly creative as it is? The aim of the symposium is a cross-disciplinary dialogue that elaborates on the features of improvisation or the provisional and discusses them as options for action.
