Over the last five years the media art center LABoral in Spain has developed an extensive learning network that brings artists, schools, and young people together to create new media content and tools. Interested in sharing their findings, the group proposed partnering with a Berlin-based team.
To facilitate this link, Professor Jussi Ängeslevä and members of the Rethinking Prototype team from the University of the Arts and the Technical University in Berlin were invited to join the conversation. Rethinking Prototyping was a resulting three-year project exploring prototyping as a method for supporting interdisciplinary collaboration. Within the transmediale workshop both teams will share their work, presenting outcomes, successes, and failures. Participant activities will focus on evaluation models, with emphasis placed on prototyping and maker practices as a means for learning and collaboration.
